You should avoid eating heavy meals or drinking a lot of liquids two to three hours before working out to avoid stomach cramps after your exercise routine. Heavy greasy foods, such as french fries, as well as foods rich in fiber -- including brown rice and highly fibrous veggies, such as celery and bamboo shoots -- are those you should avoid eating before exercising. Lack of Stretching

Women
If you're a woman, you may experience stomach cramps after exercising if you are coming close to your menstrual period or are already bleeding. Avoid strenuous exercise during these times and allow your body to go through it's natural process before engaging in a workout routine that causes you stomach cramps and discomfort.
