Losing belly fat is not possible without decreasing your overall body fat percentage. You look for weight loss supplements in an attempt to find a solution to your belly fat dilemma, but diet supplements can be an unsafe option. According to MayoClinic.com, although diet pills and supplements are readily available, most haven't been proven safe or effective. You can lose fat without buying supplements by following a healthy diet while engaging in regular exercise.
Step 1
Follow a healthy diet that revolves around low-fat foods to promote fat loss. Eat foods such as egg whites, skinless poultry, lean meats, coldwater fish, healthy fats such as olive oil and nuts, whole grains, fruits and vegetables. Consuming foods in their most natural state helps fill you up faster so you eat less.
Step 2
Engage in circuit training workouts three days per week to build muscle and burn fat. Perform one weighted exercise for each muscle group, such as tricep dips, overhead shoulder presses, pushups for chest, assisted pullups for back and biceps, and squats for legs. Execute each exercise for one set of 15 repetitions. Perform 60 seconds of aerobic activity, such as jumping rope, after each set. Rotate through the circuit of exercises for 30 to 45 minutes.
Step 3
Perform 30 minutes of cardiovascular exercise five days per week to burn off layers of stored body fat. Step on the Stairmaster, glide on the elliptical machine, jog on the treadmill, take a brisk walk outdoors or take an aerobics class.
Step 4
Train your abdominals twice per week. Include one exercise for each muscle in the midsection, such as bicycles, side bends, leg raises, V-ups and stability ball crunches for four sets of 20 repetitions each.
Step 5
Perform core strengthening exercises, such as planks, at the end of your abdominal workouts. Hold your body in a pushup position on your elbows for 30 to 45 seconds. Repeat for three sets.
