Tips That Work for Losing Belly Fat Fast

Belly fat is some of the hardest fat to lose. With a proper diet, and routine physical activity, you can achieve the lean and toned abs you have always desired. Cardio exercise, weight training, situps, crunches and pushups are some of the best ways to lose tough belly fat.

Cardio Exercise

Cardio exercise elevates the heart rate to a level which promotes maximum fat burning. Running, for example, can help you burn anywhere from 500 to 1,000 calories per hour while working out nearly every muscle in the body. Run for at least 30 minutes each day, increasing the length and speed of your run as you build endurance. Try running uphill to activate more muscles, thus increasing the rate of calorie and fat burning.

Situps, Crunches and Pushups

Situps, crunches and pushups not only strengthen your entire core, but build and tone muscles throughout your abs. Do at least four to five sets of 20 or more reps of these exercises following your cardio workout. Furthermore, strengthening your abs allows you to better perform cardio exercise, creating a positive feedback loop when it comes to building lean and toned abs and obliques.

Weight Training

Weight training plays a monumental role when it comes to burning fat and keeping it off. As you build muscle, your body burn fats more efficiently, thus helping you lose belly fat at a more rapid rate. Weight train for at least 30 minutes per day following cardio exercise to help promote muscle growth and development. Also, be sure to learn proper weight-training technique to prevent injury.

Nutrition

Diet is just as important as exercise when it comes to losing belly fat. When trying to lose weight, you must burn more calories than you consume. Your diet should be rich in fruits, vegetables, lean proteins and whole grains while low in fat. Limit your intake of beverages that are high in sugar or caffeine. Drink at least 64 oz. of water to prevent dehydration and further support weight loss.
