The skin around and underneath your eyes is one of the most sensitive swaths of skin on your body. Consequently, it's one of the first to show signs of aging. That's because your skin under the eye doesn't have many oil glands to keep it well-lubricated and better protected from sunlight. These factors make it a prime location for the development of wrinkles. But if you do develop wrinkles under the eye, there are treatments you can use to help get rid of them.
Step 1
Apply lotion to the wrinkled skin twice daily. Use lotion that doubles as a sunscreen to protect the skin from both dryness and sun damage.
Step 2
Use a topical vitamin E supplement to reverse the effects of aging. This vitamin is known to reduce the visibility of wrinkles, while providing a vital nutrient for your skin.
Step 3
Apply a cold compress once a day. Use cucumber slices or a cold cream stored in the refrigerator. Let the cold compress sit for at least 20 minutes, preferably before bedtime.
Step 4
Use an anti-wrinkle cream, preferably one with collagen, at least once a day. Do this in conjunction with a moisturizing/sunscreen lotion.
Step 5
Consider a Botox injection. This will paralyze the area for up to three months, eliminating the presence of wrinkles.
