How to Replace Batteries in a Proform Elliptical Stride 825

The ProForm StrideSelect 825 is a compact, in-home elliptical machine. It offers 10 levels of digitally adjustable resistance and six preset workout programs. The elliptical is user-powered by moving the pedals. Use the buttons on the console to adjust the resistance, select programs and use the fan. The console is battery-powered and requires four "D" batteries to work. If the lights on the console dim or the console isn't working correctly, replace the batteries. ProForm suggests using alkaline batteries.

Step 1

Press the tab on the battery cover and pull the cover off the bottom of the console.

Step 2

Replace the batteries inside the compartment with four fresh "D" batteries. The inner side of the battery door has markings indicating how to orient the batteries. The battery on the left and the battery third from the left have the positive (+) end facing out. The other two batteries have the negative (-) end facing out.

Step 3

Line the tab on the battery cover up with the slot on the console and press the cover back into place.

Tips and Warnings

  • ProForm states that most console problems occur because of low batteries. If you have any problems with the console, always try putting in fresh batteries before performing more complicated troubleshooting steps.
