In the documentary "Super Skinny Me," Louise Burke follows a protein diet that consists of having two shakes and one high-protein meal a day, totaling no more than 800 calories. There are a couple of ways that you can make these protein shakes at home. You can mix and drink protein powders by themselves or blend them with various ingredients for a tastier treat.
Strawberry Soy Milk Protein Shake
To make the strawberry soy milk protein shake place 1 cup of ice cubes, 1 cup of soy milk, one serving of favorite protein powder shake mix and 1 cup of strawberries (regular or frozen) in a blender. You may substitute the strawberries with another fruit. Puree until smooth.
Fat-Free Milk Protein Shake
The fat-free milk protein shake adds extra protein from eggs. Add a serving of your favorite protein powder shake mix, a couple of eggs, 1 cup of milk (fat free), a whole banana (regular or frozen) and 1 cup of ice cubes to the blender. Puree until smooth.
Iced Coffee Protein Shake
The iced coffee protein shake can get you up and going in the morning. Combine 1 cup of milk (fat free), 1 cup of ice cubes, one serving of favorite protein powder shake mix, and 1/2 cup of your favorite brewed coffee (cold). Blend until smooth.
