Stonyfield states that its mission is to create healthy food, enhance the health of its consumers, promote a healthy planet and be financially successful while respecting the planet. The company offers several types of yogurt and only uses organic ingredients. Like many Stonyfield yogurt products, the peach yogurt offers numerous vitamins and minerals.

Nutrition Facts

Each 6-oz. container of Stonyfield peach yogurt contains 130 calories. Since the product is fat-free, none of the calories come from fat. The yogurt also does not contain cholesterol. There are 110 mg of sodium in each container, which is approximately 5 percent of the daily value, or DV. This percentage is based on the average diet of 2,000 calories. The yogurt has 360 mg of potassium, which is about 10 percent of the DV. The total amount of carbohydrates is 25 g, or about 8 percent of the DV. All of these carbohydrates come from sugar. There is no dietary fiber in the yogurt. Stonyfield peach yogurt also provides 7 g of protein, which is about 14 percent of the DV.

Vitamins and Minerals

Stonyfield peach yogurt provides 25 percent of the DV of calcium, as well as 20 percent of the DV of vitamin D, phosphorus and riboflavin. It also provides 6 percent of the DV of magnesium, pantothenic acid and thiamin and 4 percent of the DV of vitamin B-6. It does not contain any iron, vitamin A, vitamin C or any other vitamin or mineral.

Ingredients

This product contains cultured pasteurized organic nonfat milk, organic peach puree, organic sugar, vitamin D-3, pectin and organic natural flavor. It also contains organic annatto extract for color. The cultures in the peach-flavored yogurt include l. acidophilus, l. casei, s. thermophilus, l. bulgaricus and l. rhamnosus. These cultures are so-called "good bacteria" that may promote more efficient digestion.

Warning

Always check the expiration label before eating this product. Consuming yogurt that has passed its expiration date increases the likelihood of you getting a food-borne illness. Symptoms of a food-borne illness vary but may include diarrhea, abdominal cramps or nausea. In addition, you should avoid consuming this product if you are allergic to milk, peaches or any of the other ingredients. If you believe you are suffering an allergic reaction after consuming this product, contact your doctor immediately. Symptoms of an allergic reaction to food may include a rash, hives, swelling or difficulty breathing.
