Lean Cuisine Spa Cuisine Ingredients

Lean Cuisine makes frozen meals that are designed to fit into a reduced-calorie diet. Product lines include Casual, Café and Comfort, Cuisine, Market Creations, Simple Favorites and Spa Cuisine. Lean Cuisine Spa Cuisine options provide 3 to 6 g of dietary fiber, and have no artificial flavors or preservatives. Protein

Most Lean Cuisine Spa Cuisine dinners provide one to one and one-half servings of meat. Many varieties have chicken tenderloins or chicken breast with ribs, cooked in broth, and the Hunan Stir Fry with Beef variety has beef cooked with cornstarch. Seafood ingredients include shrimp, in a stir-fry, and salmon with basil. Butternut squash ravioli is the only vegetarian option for Lean Cuisine Spa Cuisine, and high-protein ingredients include walnuts, cheese and eggs.

Starch

Lean Cuisine Spa Cuisine provides one to two and one-half servings of starches. Some are whole grain choices, such as whole wheat berries in Apple Cranberry Chicken. Lemon Chicken and Hunan Stiry Fry with Beef have whole wheat pastas, such as orzo or vermicelli. Butternut Squash Ravioli is made from enriched, refined flour, not whole-grain pasta. Another ingredient is the wheat flour used for breading, such as for the lightly breaded chicken breast in Lemon Chicken.

Fruits and Vegetables

Most varieties of Lean Cuisine Spa Cuisine provide one to two servings of vegetables, which help to boost the fiber content of these dinners. Possible ingredients include green beans, carrots, tomato powder, broccoli, red peppers, edamame soybeans, butternut squash and snap peas. Spa Cuisine Apple Cranberry Chicken has apples, apple juice and dried cranberries, and it provides one-half of a serving of fruit. The fruits and vegetables may provide vitamin A and vitamin C, too.

Other Ingredients

Lean Cuisine Spa Cuisine gets some sodium from salt, which is an ingredient in all of the choices. Other flavorings include or garlic, ginger, lemon-grass, white wine vinegar and bourbon. Some products have added sugars, such as corn syrup solids, brown sugar or sugar, and the chicken pecan dinner has 13 g sugars. Other ingredients include caramel color, lactic acid, potassium phosphate, sodium phosphate, tapioca starch, chicken flavor, potato maltodextrins, yeast extract and soybean oil.
