The sophisticated design of the snowboard binding allows your ankles to flex during freestyle techniques. Instead of paying someone at a snowboard shop, you can adjust your bindings yourself with a screwdriver. Novice boarders often prefer a centered stance, as it offers increased balance. According to the outdoor specialists at REI, the top of your snowboard features a small display that indicates the center mounts. This display allows you to center the bindings easily without having to make a variety of measurements.
Step 1
Loosen the safety straps of the left binding so that you have an adequate view of the base plate. Insert the head of the screwdriver into one of the mounting screws. Rotate the handle counterclockwise to loosen the screw.
Step 2
Repeat the process with the remaining three screws of the left binding. Lift the binding and base plate off the top of the snowboard. Examine the small display to determine the centermost binding mounts.
Step 3
Align the base plate of the left binding over the center mounts. Insert one screw into each of the four mounting holes. Tighten the mounting screws with the screwdriver to center your left binding.
Step 4
Unfasten the straps of your right binding and loosen the mounting screws in the base plate. Align the base plate of the right binding over the center mounts. Tighten the mounting screws to center the right binding.
