Most ProForm exercise bikes have electronic LCD consoles that display information about your workout, including distance traveled. Depending on the bike model, you can usually display the distance information in either miles or kilometers. Miles is the standard distance measurement in the United States, while kilometers is the standard in many other countries. Access the information or settings mode on your ProForm console to change the measurement from kilometers to miles.
Step 1
Press and hold either the "Display" button or the "Workout" button for three to five seconds. If the settings mode does not display, press and hold the button a second time.
Step 2
Repeatedly press the same button you used in step one until either "English", "Metric", "E" or "M" appears in the display.
Step 3
Use the resistance arrow buttons to select "English" or "E." If your ProForm exercise bike has a fan button on the console, use this button to make your selection.
Step 4
Press either the "Display" or "Workout" button, whichever you used in Step 1, to lock in your settings.
Tips and Warnings
- Each ProForm exercise bike console is slightly different. If the resistance arrow buttons don't work to change your selection and your console doesn't have a "Fan" button, then use the "Start" button to make your selection in Step 3. Whether you use the "Workout" or "Display" button to access the information mode depends on which ProForm model you have. Most ProForm bikes have one or the other, but not both. Not all ProForm exercise bikes can display the distance in both kilometers and miles.
