The prostate is the male gland responsible for the production of semen. The prostate is located around the urethra, which carries urine from the bladder and expels it from the body. Exercise can benefit prostate health by maintaining good circulation and preventing obesity.

Exercise and Weight
Exercise is important for the maintenance of good prostate health. According to the Prostate Cancer foundation, excessive belly fat can cause inflammation of the prostate glad, which increases the risk of prostate cancer. The hormones produced by belly fat reduce the body's ability to take up insulin. This leads to excessive insulin in the blood which may also stimulate the growth of prostate cancer. Regular exercise can help prevent becoming overweight or obese and reduce these risks.

Regular exercise is not only vital for maintaining a healthy weight, but it is also good for blood circulation to the prostate if it uses the leg muscles.
