History
Life Force International was started in the 1980s by Wayne and Gerri Hillman, a husband and wife team. After medical treatment did not cure Gerri's fatigue and headaches, Wayne experimented with different sea plant sources and aloe vera until he made a combination that relieved her symptoms. The combination was coined as Body Balance and is sold through the company and independent distributors.
The Drink
Body Balance is made of whole foods and contains over 75 nutrients and more than 200 active compounds. Made of a blend of seven sea vegetables, the drink contains trace minerals, phytonutrients, vitamins, minerals and amino acids. Life Force International's explanation of the why the drink works states that the earth loses mineral through erosion. The minerals are washed into the ocean and reabsorbed by vegetation in the sea. Body Balance is the company's way of reintegrating the lost minerals into a person's diet. These claims have not been approved by the FDA. Life Force recommends 2 oz. to 8 oz. of Body Balance a day.
Ingredients & Nutrition
The drink contains aloe, honey, black cherry flavor and a mixture of nine different plants that come from the sea. Life Force International does not use a specific recipe for each drink; it includes all of the ingredients, just not particular measurements of each. The amount of certain ingredients in Body Balance varies by container. 2 oz. of Body Balance contains 15 calories, no fat and 3 g of sugar and carbohydrates. The supplement does not provide a significant amount of calories and should not be consumed as a meal replacement.
