Experiencing any sort of lasting weight loss will require a dedicated commitment that involves changing your lifestyle and incorporating new habits into your daily routine. However, it is possible to shed a few pounds in just a matter of a few days without having to resort to unhealthy options like diet pills. Taking on new lifestyle habits can result in the loss of several pounds very quickly as your body adjusts to these new nutritional and fitness choices.
Step 1
Write down a daily plan for a well-balanced diet that includes plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains and lean protein like fish. Skip the junk food that's high in fat, sugar and salt and instead snack on fruit or nuts.
Step 2
Start your day by exercising for thirty minutes. It doesn't matter what kind of exercise you do so long as your get your heart rate up for thirty consecutive minutes. A few potential exercises include running, riding a bike, swimming and aerobics.
Step 3
Stop eating before you feel full. It might take a while to learn when your body is satisfied as opposed to full after a meal, but with practice, you'll get the hang of it. The idea is to stop eating when you've eaten enough to satisfy your body and to avoid that "I'm going to pop" feeling. Feeling full is actually a sign of overeating.
Step 4
Be more active throughout the day by taking the stairs instead of the elevator and walking or riding a bike to nearby destinations rather than taking your car. You'll burn more calories throughout the day and burn more fat in a shorter period of time.
Step 5
Drink a glass of water before each meal. Not only will this help to keep your body hydrated, but it'll also help to fill up your stomach so you won't eat as much come meal time.
