Hot fudge and ice cream is the ideal snack for many on a hot summer day. Typically, many individuals place hot fudge on top of their ice cream. However, you can mix --- or swirl --- hot fudge into your ice cream to make your own unique ice cream creation. Ice cream mixed with hot fudge is an ideal treat to share with your family and friends at your next family gathering.
Step 1
Place the desired amount of hot fudge in a microwave-safe bowl. Place paper towel or piece of wax paper over the bowl to avoid the fudge from splattering in the microwave. Microwave the fudge until warm -- generally 60 seconds.
Step 2
Scoop one scoop of ice cream and place it into a bowl. Use your spatula to flatten the ice cream out.
Step 3
Place a thin layer of fudge on top of the ice cream using a spoon. Use your spatula to help evenly spread the ice cream.
Step 4
Scoop another scoop of ice cream. Place this ice cream directly on top of the fudge. Use your spatula to smooth and flatten the ice cream out.
Step 5
Pour another layer of fudge. Repeat. Scoop as many layers of ice cream and hot fudge as you desire. The last layer of your mixture should be hot fudge.
Tips and Warnings
- Add whipped cream, a cherry and some nuts or sprinkles to make a complete hot fudge sundae. Any leftover fudge can be placed and a jar and refrigerated for later use.
