Herbal Remedies for Dysplasia

Dysplasia is a medical term used to describe a part of your body that is abnormal in form. Dysplasia can happen in any part of your body. Proper nutrition including supplementation with specific herbs may help prevent dysplasia. Current scientific evidence, however, does not support the use of any of these herbal remedies to treat dysplasia. Dysplasia in any part of your body is a serious condition, and you should always seek medical attention before attempting to treat your dysplasia with any herbal remedy.

Anti-inflammatory Herbs

Astragalus

Astragalus strengthens your body's immune system and, according to the "Encyclopedia of Natural Medicine," has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for hundreds of years as an herbal treatment for dysplasia. Vitex

Vitex, otherwise known as agnus-castus, is an herbal supplement frequently used by women to treat some of the symptoms associated with pre-menstrual syndrome and other hormone-based conditions.
