Most Thanksgiving recipes call for an oven, so what do you do if you don't have one? A few simple tips will give you a delicious Thanksgiving meal without the use of an oven. Non-oven recipes also take half the time and half the effort of roasting a turkey. That will give you more time to relax and enjoy the holiday with your family.

Step 1

The night before Thanksgiving, you will need to start your dessert. Use a pre-packaged graham cracker crust as the base of your no-bake pumpkin cheesecake. Combine all ingredients for the filling. Pour the filling into the pie crust and let it chill in the refrigerator overnight. This delicious spin on the Thanksgiving favorite will leave you wanting more. Step 2

On Thanksgiving morning, you will want to begin making stuffing. Start by sauteing the stuffing vegetables and bread in oil or butter for an extra layer of flavor. Place the sauteed vegetables and other stuffing ingredients into the crock-pot. Let them cook on low for four to eight hours. With an easy crock-pot stuffing recipe, you can have a delicious side dish without a lot of work. The link for the complete recipe can be found in the Resources section.

Step 3

Season your boneless turkey breasts or cutlets with your desired seasonings. Put oil in the skillet and turn it on medium-high heat. Place the turkey breasts in the skillet and sear one side. Flip it over and sear the other side. Cover the skillet and reduce the heat to medium-low. Let it simmer until the turkey is fully cooked. If you would like a different spin on your traditional turkey, try adding sauce or even breading the breasts before cooking. Look to the Resources section to find the link to a unique recipe.

Step 4

Using the stove top, make your side dishes. Mashed potatoes are made by boiling cut potatoes in water, draining them, and then mashing with butter and milk to the desired consistency. Corn and gravy are very easily made using the stove top. Frozen corn can be cooked in boiling water and gravy is made with pan drippings and a roux. Sauteed green beans or spinach are a great addition to any Thanksgiving meal. You could also take it to another level by making a butternut squash risotto. Step 5

No Thanksgiving meal is complete without cranberry sauce. Buying canned cranberry sauce is a quick and easy option, but if you want to make your own, you can do so without an oven. Combine cranberries, sugar, and water in a pan and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for 10 minutes. You will be left with a delicious, homemade cranberry sauce.
