1. We All Have Cellulite
Cellulite is small pockets of fat found beneath the layers of skin and we all have it. Even thin women who spend hours at the gym each week have cellulite. That's because it's not about how much fat you have on your body but more about where it's located. These small fat packets tend to be more noticeable in women than in men because women have thinner skin. So, even with weight loss and extra hours on the treadmill, cellulite is simply here to stay.
2. Cellulite Cream to the Rescue
Well, maybe not, but it certainly makes us feel better. There is no scientific proof that cellulite creams remove cellulite. Consider the fact that cellulite lives beneath several layers of skin. It's nearly impossible to think any topical cream could penetrate and remove it. That's why most cellulite creams claim they improve the skin's overall appearance rather than remove cellulite.
3. Smooth on the Caffeine
If you think you're morning cup of coffee is just good for a quick wake up, think again. Most cellulite creams contain high concentrations of caffeine. Caffeine works like a diuretic to flush the system. On the skin it increases blood flow to the area where applied and can reduce the look of cellulite. Now, the caffeine isn't magically burning the cellulite away, but it improves skin circulation and helps skin appear less bumpy.
4. Tighten Those Skin Cells
One way that cellulite creams help improve the appearance of skin is by making it tighter. Retin-A thickens the top later of skin, and many cellulite creams contain a form of Retin-A called Retinol. Retinol, when used daily can slightly thicken the top layer of skin and make it look tighter. This helps hide the unsightly bulges beneath the skin and makes cellulite seem to disappear.
5. No Permanent Fix
Even deep tissue spa treatments and the very best cellulite creams can't make cottage cheese thighs go away forever. There is no permanent fix for cellulite, and most treatments, no matter how extreme don't fix the problem permanently. Many products claim environmental toxins, poor circulation or clogged lymph nodes cause cellulite, but science says otherwise. According to research, cellulite fat is no different than any other type of fat on the body; it's just more noticeable because of where it is. Cellulite creams and other treatments will make cellulite pockets less noticeable for your evening out or day at the beach, but for the most part, it's just a part of who we are.
