Woman and Home magazine recommends a three-week detox diet it claims will help you lose weight and gain an hourglass figure. There are five elements to this detox diet: Eat only whole grain cereals, breads and pasta. Eat basmati rice instead of white or brown rice. Drink green or black tea with any meal containing carbohydrates. Eat at least one soy food, one dairy food and one serving of an oily fish daily. Finally, fresh fruits and vegetables should comprise half your lunch and half your dinner.
Lemonade Diet
If you like lemonade and are looking for relief from symptoms of arthritis, then the lemonade diet may be for you. To follow this diet, drink maple syrup, freshly squeezed lemonade, 60 oz. of spring water and a dash of cayenne pepper every day for up to two weeks. A laxative tea can be included in the program to help replace fiber absent from the rest of the plan. Some believers say this diet helped cleanse their bodies of infection, gout and pain. It is not intended to help you lose weight, though this may be a temporary side effect of the detox.
