How to Snowboard With Glasses

Losing your glasses during a high-speed snowboarding maneuver can result in painful crashes and collisions with fellow riders. Having astigmatism doesn't have to hinder your ability to ride a slope. The majority of snowboarders wear specialized goggles to keep protect their eyes from flying snow and ice particles. Top-rated goggles feature a durable frame lined with hypoallergenic foam. Most goggles have an interchangeable lens. Equipping your goggles with a prescription lens is just one way to snowboard with glasses.

Step 1

Remove the stock lens that came with your snowboarding goggles. Purchase a lens from the goggle manufacturer that corresponds with your prescription glasses. Insert your custom lens into the frame of the goggles.

Step 2

Align the goggles around your eyes. Tighten the elastic strap around the back of your head to ensure a comfortable yet snug fit. Modify the goggle lens if your vision appears blurry or unclear.

Step 3

Insert your contact lenses before heading to the snowboarding slope. Wear a pair of goggles with a non-prescription lens to guarantee clear visibility. Adjust the safety strap to prevent the goggles from slipping.

Step 4

Purchase an elastic croakie if plan to wear your prescription glasses with snowboarding. Slide the ends of the croakie over the earpieces of your glasses. Align the elastic croakie around the back of your head to prevent your glasses from slipping.

Step 5

Choose a pair of OTG or Over the Glasses snowboard goggles that feature a roomy design. Align the bridge of your prescription glasses over your nose. Adjust the straps before placing the OTG goggles over your glasses.
