The vastus medialis, along with the adductor longus, brevis and magnus, make up the inner thighs. All of these muscles become activated when you perform hip flexion and adduction exercises, which helps to burn fat on the inside of the thighs. Hip flexion and adduction occur when your thigh moves toward your stomach and toward the middle of your body, respectively. You may also have to make dietary modifications and change the frequency of your meals to burn off stubborn fat.
Step 1
Perform jump squats to tone your inner thighs, along with other crucial leg muscles. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and put your hands on your hips. Carefully, lower your body directly into the squat position, and then jump as high as possible. Land in starting position, lower back into the squat position and prepare for another jump. Continue this exercise for five sets of 15 repetitions.
Step 2
Do side lunges to tone your inner thighs. Start with feet shoulder-width apart, and step out to the right. At the same time, push your hips backward, bend your right knee and shift your weight to the right. Once your right knee and hip reach a 90-degree angle, hold the position. Your left leg should be straightened but not locked out. Push up with your right leg into the starting position. Repeat three sets of 25 reps on your right, then do the same on your left leg.
Step 3
Run sprints to tone your thighs and burn off fat. Sprinting tones your adductor muscles, because it causes them to exert a lot of force. Sprinting is also an effective cardiovascular exercise to encourage total-body weight loss. Sprint up a hill or on flat ground for a minute, and walk for a minute to recover. Repeat several times. Aim for at least 30 minutes of sprinting for optimum thigh fat loss.
Step 4
Eat small meals throughout your day to burn inner thigh fat. A workout regimen is half of the equation when it comes to getting rid of inner thigh fat. Your diet must consist of lean proteins, fresh fruits and veggies and whole grains. Combine these types of foods in each meal to boost your metabolism, regulate blood sugar and suppress your appetite.
