Prepare a delicious, hearty meal with scrambled eggs. They provide an inexpensive way to cook up a healthy serving of protein, unsaturated fat and vitamins. One egg contains 6 g of protein, according to Harvard Health Publications. Eggs also contain such helpful vitamins as choline, lutein and zeaxanthin. Choline has been linked with improved memory, while lutein and zeaxanthin are good for your vision and eye health.

Burrito

A hearty breakfast burrito contains healthy sources of protein, carbohydrates, calcium and vitamins. To make a burrito, simply scramble an egg or two. Place the cooked egg on a warm whole wheat tortilla. Add your favorite vegetables, low-fat cheese, avocado and salsa. Wrap up the tortilla and enjoy a healthy alternative to the standard burrito. This scrambled egg idea is so tasty you may want to eat it for lunch or dinner, too.

Frittata

A frittata is an easy dish that combines scrambled eggs with your favorite vegetables, potatoes and cheese. Place scrambled eggs, your choice of veggies, cheese and diced potatoes in a deep dish pan. Cook the mixture over low to medium heat until it's cooked through. Mix it up with different combinations of vegetables and cheeses. For example, combine tomatoes, olives and feta cheese to make a Greek-inspired frittata. For a Southwestern-style frittata, use such ingredients as peppers, tomatoes, onions, corn and low-fat cheddar cheese.

Omelet

An omelet provides a good standby for a scrambled egg dish. To make a delicious, filling meal, scramble two eggs in a bowl, place them in a shallow pan and cook them until the bottom side is done. Flip the omelet over, place your desired ingredients on one side of the omelet and fold the egg over to cover the ingredients. Cook the omelet until it's heated through. Use such ingredients as ham and cheese, veggies and cheese, or even tofu to make different omelets variations.

Salad

A well-balanced salad provides a serving of carbohydrates, dairy and protein. Toss out the boring hard-boiled egg on top of your salad in favor of a scrambled egg. This little trick offers a delicious change to the same old salad. Cook a scrambled egg and set it aside. In a bowl, combine a variety of lettuces and greens, as well as peppers, tomatoes and cucumbers. Top your salad with the scrambled egg. Add olive oil and vinegar. Toss the salad for a quick and healthy meal.
