Tortillas -- a Mexican food consumed by many Americans -- traditionally are used to make burritos, tacos, quesadillas and enchiladas. They can also be substituted for bread, turning a sandwich into a wrap, or paired with eggs instead of toast. Cooking tortillas takes only a few minutes and makes them soft and pliable rather than dry or stiff.

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Place the tortillas on a baking sheet. Do not stack the tortillas; instead, lay each one flat on the baking sheet.

Place the baking sheet into your preheated oven.

Cook the tortillas for 30 seconds and then flip them over; cook the second side for 15 to 20 seconds. Use tongs to flip the tortillas, as they will be very hot.

Remove the tortillas from the oven when they are finished cooking and use them immediately.
