Vemma Verve is an energy drink described by its manufacturer as "insanely healthy." Vemma Verve is designed to be a healthier alternative to highly caffeinated energy drinks and soda, as it provides not just caffeine, but a number of vitamins and minerals that may improve your general health. Although Vemma Verve is purported to be healthy, you should consult a medical professional before using this or any other dietary supplements. Check labels when available, as product recipes can change.

Calorie Content

Vemma Verve is relatively low in calories, as each 8.3 oz. can provides 72 calories. This amount is less than 4 percent of the daily suggested intake of 2,000 calories and is slightly fewer calories than you'd find in an 8 oz. glass of skim milk, which contains 80 calories. If you are watching your weight, you can burn off the calories in one can of Vemma Verve through 20 minutes of weightlifting or 15 minutes of water aerobics.

Carbohydrate Content

All of the calories in the Vemma Verve energy drink come from carbohydrates, as each 8.3 oz. can provides 18 g. All of these carbohydrates come from sugar and none come from fiber, which can be detrimental; the Harvard Medical School explains that sugary beverages may promote obesity because, although calorie-rich, they do not trigger feelings of satiety due to the liquid consistency. Dietary fiber produces satiety, but Vemma Verve has none.

Caffeine Content

Vemma Verve is relatively low in caffeine compared to other beverages, as each 8.3 oz. can provides 80 mg of caffeine. This amount is 15 mg less than you'd find in a cup of coffee and is about the same amount provided by a 20 oz. bottle of Diet Coke. One can of Vemma Verve provides half of the caffeine in a 16 oz. Monster energy drink.

Vitamin Content

Vemma Verve provides high levels of a number of vitamins, including five times the daily recommended intake of vitamin C, two and a half times the daily recommended intake of vitamins B-6, B-12 and D-3, and twice the recommended intake of vitamin E. Although vitamins provide some health benefits, high doses of vitamins can be detrimental. For example, the Linus Pauling Institute at Oregon State University suggests that too much vitamin C may lead to diarrhea, stomach discomfort and kidney stones.

Mineral Content

Vemma Verve provides a number of minerals, such as zinc, copper, nickel, chromium and selenium. However, the manufacturer does not disclose the amount of each mineral.
