Weight Watchers allows dieters to eat all foods in moderation. Instead of counting calories, dieters count POINTS, which are developed using a formula based upon a food's calories and fat and fiber grams. High-fiber, low-fat foods are shown preference on the diet by being lower in POINTS than foods that are high in fat and low in fiber. Being aware of the POINTS values of the foods on the Taco Bell menu can assist you in making informed choices when ordering at a Taco Bell restaurant.
Breakfast Items
The Country Breakfast is the lowest POINTS item on the Taco Bell breakfast menu with only 6 POINTS. The Fiesta Breakfast Burrito contains only 7 POINTS. Both the Breakfast Quesadilla with sausage and the Grande Breakfast Burrito are 10 POINTS. For 11 POINTS, you could choose the Double Bacon and Egg Burrito or the Breakfast Quesadilla with Bacon for breakfast.
Burritos and Tacos
Both the Hard Beef Taco and Soft Grilled Chicken Taco contain only 4 POINTS per taco. The Soft Beef Taco, Grilled Steak Soft Taco and Beef Taco Supreme each contain 5 POINTS. For 6 POINTS, you can choose from the Bean Burrito, Grilled Steak Soft Taco Supreme and Double Decker Taco. Eight POINT options include the Burrito Supreme and BLT Soft Taco.
Specialty Items
The Tostada contains the fewest POINTS of all of the specialty items, having only 5 POINTS. The Big Beef MexiMelt and Taco Salad without the shell are close runners up, containing 6 and 7 POINTS, respectively. Simply adding the shell to the Taco Salad packs an additional 11 POINTS to the meal, totaling a whopping 18 POINTS for a Taco Salad with the shell.
Sides
Pintos 'n Cheese and Cinnamon Twists are both low-POINT side items, containing a mere 3 POINTS each. The Mexican Rice is available for only 4 POINTS. However, if you prefer Nachos, those will set you back 7 POINTS. Be sure to order the regular Nachos, unless you have 15 POINTS to spare for the Nachos Bell Grande.
