When special events arise, you want to look your best. You search for diets promising quick results with minimal effort and muster up the motivation to take those first few steps to attaining your idea of physical beauty. Often, people look to celebrity diets for tips and tricks to keeping slim and trim. While celebrities may experience success with their diets and workouts, you have to ask yourself if adopting their daily routine is sustainable. If not, the hard work you've put in to achieve that hot body will be short-lived.
Raw Food Diet
The raw food diet has been credited with helping some of Hollywood's hottest maintain a slim and trim figure. Followers of the raw food movement, including the likes of Demi Moore and Angela Bassett, maintain that consuming raw foods preserves their protein and vitamin content and allows the use the food's enzymes to aid in digestion, leading to a longer, healthier and happier life. This diet forbids heating foods above 118 degrees Fahrenheit and limits the consumption of processed foods. Since the raw food movement began, restaurants have opened in many U.S. cities that only serve raw foods. Examples of raw food dishes include fresh salsas, salads, tomato cups, veggie burgers and fruit kabobs.
Dancing Workouts
With all of the dancing competitions featured during television's primetime hours, it is no wonder that dancing has become popular in Hollywood and America as an entertaining way to work your body. Because dancing combines a cardio workout with muscle toning movements, it works well for those on a strict schedule. Adopting a dancing workout regimen can be as simple as attending a Zumba class three days per week, take dancing lessons with a friend or spouse twice a week and supplementing that with other cardio workouts. You can build a DVD library of dancing workouts, which can be purchased at most sporting goods stores, or you can purchase a gaming system with dance games, such as the Nintendo Wii or Xbox 360. If you doubt the benefits of dancing, take a look at Nicole Scherzinger's lean body.
5-Factor Diet
The 5 Factor Diet, created by Harley Pasternak, is popular with several Hollywood starlets, including Eva Mendes. The diet, which centers around the number five, teaches dieters to combine healthy eating habits with exercise. This plan allows you to eat five meals a day, each with its own restrictions. The plan builds in a cheat day for you to indulge your sweet-and-salty craving. You must exercise 25 minutes per day, five days per week, for five weeks. Consuming meals prepared using the five food groups more frequently and exercising five days per week will rev up your metabolism and stabilize your blood glucose levels.
Sports-inspired Workouts
While women seek to shed fat in hopes of uncovering a phenomenal figure, men usually desire to increase their body weight by adding lean muscle. Some of Hollywood's brightest stars, such as Jessica Biel and Denzel Washington, use sports-inspired routines to achieve lean, well-toned bodies. These routines usually involve equipment such as kettlebells, free weights or gallon milk jugs filled with sand. These routines help you to achieve a chiseled look because the body must recruit additional muscles to stabilize the equipment. Perform three sets of eight to 12 repetitions using all of the major muscle groups in five minute sessions. Alternate each session with a five minute session of cardio work to save time and to achieve maximum results.
