Inquire about electrolysis. Another permanent option available through a plastic surgeon or dermatologist is electrolysis. Electrolysis uses a needle to transport electricity to kill the hair follicles. Each treatment may only last 10 minutes, but you may need weekly treatments for six months to a year for the results to be permanent. This option is usually ideal for smaller areas of the face where you need facial hair removed, like the eyebrows.
