Food Addicts Anonymous, or FAA, is a 12-step recovery support group that focuses on helping people control food addictions. This group offers online and face-to-face peer support meetings to help control overeating that leads to weight gain and obesity. FAA also provides members with strict meal planning guidelines to help control food addiction.

The Food Addict's Diet plan, created by FAA, offers a variety of detailed meal planning tips designed to help food addicts avoid starchy and sugary foods that are associated with food cravings. According to FAA, people with food addictions are physically sensitive to the blood sugar changes that occur when starches or sugars enter the body. Menu plans are designed to avoid these changes in blood sugar and control the addictive cycle of carbohydrate and sugar cravings.
