The size of a track bike is similar to that of a road bike. The difference is in where you ride the bikes. While you can ride a track bike indoors or outdoors, most velodromes -- indoor cycling tracks -- do not allow road bikes. Your track bike has only one gear, no free wheel and no brakes. This bike is designed for speed and will only move forward when you power the pedals. According to Velodrome Shop in the United Kingdom, you can use two approaches to measure a track bike. You can also use two different measurements for labeling your bike: inches or centimeters.
