Fish is a lean, flavorful and versatile source of protein enjoyed in a variety of ways. You can prepare fish using various cooking methods, but baking fish in a foil pouch is a simple way of cooking it that reduces the preparation and cleaning time. The foil helps to hold in the natural steam and aroma of the fish for a moist, savory meal.

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 2

Tear off a sheet of aluminum foil 12 inches in length.

Step 3

Coat one side of the aluminum foil with nonstick cooking spray.

Step 4

Place the fish on the aluminum foil and season with salt, pepper and lemon juice.

Step 5

Fold the sides of the aluminum foil and press together to seal the fish inside the foil.

Step 6

Place the fish in the oven and bake for about 20 minutes, or until the meat is white and flaky.

Step 7

Remove the fish from the oven and allow to sit for at least 10 minutes, as the contents may be extremely hot.
