How to Lose Weight With Acai Juice

Acai juice comes from acai berries, which are native to the Brazilian rain forests. The berry contains potent antioxidants, healthy fats and fiber, as well as amino acids. Acai can be added to any weight-loss program because it is purported to increase energy and stamina, suppress hunger, improve blood sugar and increase fat-burning. Acai juice will not cause weight-loss by itself, and should be combined with a healthy diet and exercise program for the best effect.

Step 1

Purchase an acai juice product that contains no added sugar. Blended juices that contain other healthful berries such as blueberries, strawberries, pomegranate, and/or raspberries are fine, as long as they provide some pure acai. Step 2

Take a serving of acai juice before a resistance-training workout. Resistance training helps to burn fat and build muscle. Step 3

Perform at least three 30-minute sessions of cardiovascular activity per week. This form of training helps to increase fat burning and create a caloric deficit to lose weight. Add acai juice to your workout beverage, sipping as you go to maintain proper hydration and keep your energy up.

Step 4

Eat five or six small meals throughout the day, structured as three main meals with three snacks in-between. Mackie Shilstone, author of the Fat Burning Bible, recommends a macro-nutrient ratio of 30 percent protein, 30 percent fat, and 40 percent carbohydrates. Acai juice can be added to foods to increase their nutrient profile, control blood sugar, suppress hunger, and provide antioxidant defense from free radicals.

Step 5

Take acai juice in conjunction with a cleanse or fast in order to jump-start your weight-loss efforts by eliminating toxins and waste from the body. Once cleansed, the body can more effectively burn fat and carry on necessary metabolic functions that are crucial to a successful weight-loss program.
