How to Freeze an Unbaked Pizza Crust

Keeping pizza crust in the freezer guarantees you are ready for pizza night any night. It's easy to freeze an unbaked crust and it stays fresh for several months. When you are ready to use the crust, you can pull it out a day ahead of time or even just a few hours before. While you still have to prepare the other ingredients, you skip having to make the crust, which is ready to load with toppings.

Step 1

Roll the dough into the preferred size and shape and place it on a baking sheet.

Step 2

Place the baking sheet in the freezer until the pizza crust is frozen.

Step 3

Transfer the unbaked pizza crust into a resealable freezer bag.

Step 4

Seal the freezer bag while squeezing out any extra air from the bag.

Step 5

Place the bag into the freezer.

Tips and Warnings

  • Store the pizza crust in the freezer for up to six months. Place the pizza crust in the refrigerator the night before you plan to use it or pull it from the freezer and allow it to sit on the counter until it's defrosted.
