Stands for Pilates machines provide certain conveniences, as well as additional workout options. Protective cups on the legs of the stand allow you to move the machine without scratching the finish on floors or snagging carpet threads. Elevating your machine on its stand allows you to perform more advanced movements. Putting your Pilates machine on its stand is not complicated and in most instances, is easier with the help of an assistant.
Step 1
Remove the upright supports at each end of the machine by pulling them out of the attachment ports. If necessary, loosen any fixing bolts with an Allen key and remove the uprights. Remove the padded seat from the rails. Set the uprights and the seat aside.
Step 2
Turn the machine over onto the floor with the help of your assistant.
Step 3
Ask your assistant to help turn the Pilates stand over and align the legs with the open ports at each end and the middle of the machine.
Step 4
Press down on one end of the stand and push the legs into the ports on that end of the machine. Repeat this and push the legs into the remaining ports on the underside of the machine. If the stand consists of individual legs, push each leg into a port, one at a time.
Step 5
Work with your assistant to turn the Pilates machine upright into its stand. Put the seat back on the rails and reattach the uprights at each end of the stand. If necessary, tighten the fixing bolts on the uprights with the Allen key.
