How to Smoke Lamb Ribs

To smoke lamb ribs right, you need patience --- and the right sauce to give them the perfect flavor. Smoking meat cannot be done in a hurry and that you get the best result with smoked lamb ribs by using a slow smoker instead of a roaster. However, first you must remove the fat on the ribs.

Step 1

Trim off the fat on the lamb ribs with a knife.

Step 2

Mix the garlic salt, onion salt, pepper and herbs in a small bowl to make the rub.

Step 3

Rub the olive oil all over the lamb ribs. Sprinkle the rub on the lamb ribs. Set the ribs aside for two hours.

Step 4

Preheat your smoker to 225 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 5

Place the prepared lamb ribs on the grate of the smoke on their bony sides. Smoke for two hours until the ribs are cooked through.

  • 1 tbsp. dried mixed herbs
  • 2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper

  • 8 oz. olive oil
