Nutritional Facts and Dosage
This supplement contains 1,080 mg of a proprietary detox blend. This blend contains red clover, milk thistle calcium d-glucarate; broccoli, bupleurum, n-acetyl l-cysteine and artichoke. 4Life recommends taking two capsules per day with 8 oz of fluid. Other nonactive ingredients found in the Super Detox Formula include gelatin and vegetable oil.
Red Clover and Milk Thistle
According to the "Encyclopedia of Natural Medicine," red clover can help to treat hypertension and the narrowing of your arteries and veins. Additionally, red clover may help treat individuals with type 2 diabetes. Milk thistle promotes general health in your liver and kidneys and may help to treat cirrhosis of the liver. Additionally, milk thistle contains silymarin, a substance that supports liver regeneration and helps to protect your kidneys from nephrotoxic drugs.
Calcium d-Glucarate and Broccoli Sulforaphane
According to "Integrative Medicine," calcium d-glucarate is a cellular detoxifier that can help your body eliminate fat-soluble toxins and lower high levels of steroid hormones such as estrogen, testosterone and progesterone. Further, calcium d-glucarate may help to protect your body against cancer and other diseases involving cellular dysfunction. Sulforaphane helps your body to neutralize the circulating carcinogens found in your intestines. Additionally, sulforaphane can stimulate your intestinal production of glutathione transferase, an enzyme responsible for eliminating cancerous agents from foods.
N-Acetyl L-Cysteine and artichoke
According to "Therapeutic Herb Manual," n-acetyl l-cysteine is an antioxidant and a vasodilator that can help widen your blood vessels. Additionally, this antioxidant can help prevent your white blood cells and platelets from producing clots. Artichoke has several acids responsible for protecting your liver in cases of cirrhosis, hepatitis, liver insufficiency and intoxication. Further, artichoke can enhance your bile function.
