The products offered by Eddy's are common in the southern part of the United States. They are precooked and packaged in a small town in south Texas. The drumsticks are basically heat and eat, but contrary to popular thinking they can be rather tough if cooked too fast. Slow reheating in the oven in a bath of water or broth will result in tender turkey legs. They are packaged, shipped and stored cold and must be kept cold to keep them fresh as well as safe.

How to Cook Eddy's Smoked Turkey Legs

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 225 to 250 degrees Fahrenheit. Pour the chicken or turkey broth in a large baking pan.

Step 2

Place the turkey legs in the pan with the broth. Cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil and place in the preheated oven.

Step 3

Allow the drum sticks to reheat slowly over about one and a half hours. Check the drum sticks with a meat thermometer; the internal temperature must be at least 145 degrees Fahrenheit. If you are not satisfied with the tenderness of the drum sticks, you can allow them to reheat for additional time.
