Colored Lenses
It seems as if mankind has always been searching for and designing new and better ways to beautify the body. In recent years, developers of cosmetic technology have created contact lenses that can truly make your brown eyes blue. There are four types of lenses that can add tone to the eyes: opaque tint, visibility tint, light-filtering tint and enhancement tint. Colored contacts can be created in a nonprescriptive structure or produced to involve corrective measures for certain eyesight irregularities. Whether your aim is to brighten, darken or embellish, colored lenses can make a definite impact on your overall appearance and reflect a part of your inner self to the world beyond.
Opaque Color Tint
Opaque contacts are richly shaded lenses that can alter your eye color dramatically. They can change dark browns to violet, hazel, blue or green and are required to significantly modify brunet eyes. Opaque lenses are made by infusing solid patterns of color within the ringed area fashioned to cover the iris, or colored portion of the eye. While the lens center is left clear for visibility, the opaque color scheme is commonly dispersed through a series of small dots or lines surrounding this region. Being made in this way also helps to emulate the eye's natural composition.
Visibility Tint
Visibility tint is unique among the three different types because it doesn't actually change eye color. As the name implies, it is merely a lightly shaded film, applied to the surface of regular contact lenses, that improves the wearer's ability to see clearly. This delicate hue is a standard addition to most contact lenses industrywide and usually comes in light green or blue.
Enhancement Tint
Enhancement tint is often used to amplify the current color of your eyes. It adds a solid, but lucid, ring of color to the eyes that layers in a rich and bold tone. This kind of lens is ideal for those who wish to merely add aesthetic value to their present hue and are commonly used by people who desire to darken or amplify a lighter color.
Light-Filtering Tint
Light-filtering tint is a newly developed creation, primarily used within the realm of professional athletics. They are made to make certain colors stand out, such as the orange of a basketball or green of a tennis ball, thus enhancing the athlete's ability to perform by maintaining focus on his primary object of concern.
