A home gymnasium system offers a solution for people who lack the time or money for a gym membership. The Ironman 600g home gym system comes equipped with a variety of stations to achieve a total body resistance workout. Achieving your fitness goals begins with designing the right training plan for use on your Ironman 600g exercise system.

Antagonist Super Sets

Antagonist super sets pair two opposing muscle group exercises that you complete without resting in between. This training method helps increase muscular endurance. Examples of antagonist super sets on the Ironman 600g system include the chest press followed by mid-pulley rows for the back and triceps push-downs paired with pulley biceps curls.

Circuit Training

Circuit training combines six to 10 exercises performed with minimal rest in between. This method of training is designed to increase muscular strength and endurance while enabling you to enjoy shorter workouts. An example of a circuit training workout on the Ironman 600g system includes a chest press, lateral pull, leg press, triceps push-downs, calf raises, leg extensions and abdominal crunches. Use either a desired number of repetitions or a set time for each exercise. Three to five circuits mark the typical exercise volume for this training method, with three-minute rest periods between circuits.

Muscular Strength

If gaining strength is your goal, do three to six sets of one to 12 repetitions per exercise. Your training intensity should be at 70 percent to 100 percent of your one-rep maximum, or your ability to lift the heaviest amount of weight for one repetition.

Recommendations

Schedule rest days between your Ironman 600g workouts to allow your muscles to recover. If you're a beginning exerciser, allow for two rest days between workouts until your body adapts to the exercise stress. Recovery days enable you to train at your optimal performance level.
