How to Create a Diet Plan Online

Creating your own diet is a fun, easy and effective way to manage your weight and get healthy. By making your own diet plan online, you are also exposing yourself to nutrition that is specific to your needs and that highlights your favorite foods. There are many diets on the market that are not effective for the simple reason that they are not tailored to each person using them. This can make it even more difficult to stick to the plan. By creating your own plan, you can avoid that problem altogether.

Diet Plan: Choose Your Foods

Step 1

Write down the goal of your diet plan. Is it to gain weight or lose weight? This will give you something to shoot for and a motivation to keep up the hard work.

Step 2

Go through the method of picking out which foods that you wish to use throughout your diet. This is one of the most enjoyable parts of creating a diet, but it is also one of the most important. Choose healthy options to allow your diet to not only be easier, but more effective. The more calories you choose to consume each day, the more calories that you will be paying for later.

Step 3

Take your calendar and mark on each day which foods that you will be eating for each meal. This will help you stay on task with your diet plan.

Step 4

Stick to your plan's diet layout. It is OK if you happen to miss one meal plan, or go to a restaurant, but be sure to mark it down. It is important for your upcoming steps.

Determine Calorie Amounts

Step 1

Multiply the number pounds that you wish to lose or gain by 3,500. This will be how many calories you need to end up with in order to successfully complete your diet goals.

Step 2

Get on your computer and go to the "Daily Calorie Expenditure" reference that is included in this article.

Step 3

Type in the information needed about yourself, and press the "Calculate" button.

Step 4

Subtract that amount from the number of calories found in step one. This is how many calories you will need to lose or gain in order to meet your goal.

Step 5

Determine how many calories are in the foods that you have set up for each day. The Internet is a great resource of information for the amount of calories in your food. Also check your foods' labels for the most accurate source of information.

Step 6

Add the number in Step 5 with the number in Step 4. This is the amount of calories that you will have to consume or burn to meet your goal. If you are seeking to lose weight, this is the number of calories that must be burned through additional exercise. If you are seeking to gain weight, adjust your amount of food and calorie intake to meet this number.
