How to Cook or Bake a No Roast Whole Turkey

A fully cooked whole turkey is the way to go if you do not have the time to roast a frozen raw turkey from the market. You can find a fully cooked turkey at your local supermarket in the frozen food section near the same place you can find the frozen raw turkeys. Look for the U.S. Department of Agriculture seal so that you know you are getting a quality product. Fully cooked turkeys are heat-and-eat products that make life a little simpler.

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Unwrap the turkey from its packaging, being sure to remove any plastic or other debris that might cling to it. Remove the packet of giblets inside the turkey; you can discard these or keep them for later use.

Step 2

Wrap the turkey in several sheets of aluminum foil and fold in the edges. Place the turkey in the center of a baking pan.

Step 3

Place the turkey in the preheated oven on the lowest rack and bake until its internal temperature has reached 165 degrees Fahrenheit before serving.
