Klonopin is the brand name of the prescription medication clonazepam. It is used to treat people who suffer from sudden, extreme, unwarranted feelings of worry or fear, called panic attacks. Although Klonopin works well to curb these attacks, some people also choose to supplement their medication with supplements that contain choline and inositol. These are fatty acids that are responsible for the proper function of nerve impulse in the brain. Supplementation of choline and inositol have shown a decrease in depression, anxiety and panic attacks. Although there are no contraindications for taking choline and inositol if you are on Klonopin, consult your doctor before taking any supplements to decrease the risk of complications.
Step 1
Do not eat at lest one hour before taking choline and inositol. This will allow the supplement to get through your digestive system without being destroyed by active digestion in your stomach.
Step 2
Get a full glass of water. This means at least 8oz.
Step 3
Remove the choline and inositol capsule form the bottle. Most choline and inositol supplements come in 500mg doses.
Step 4
Take the capsule with the glass of water. You must drink the entire glass of water so the gelatin capsule will dissolve and release the choline and inositol.
