The Body Flex system was created by Greer Childers and includes an exercise bar with exercises printed right on the handle, a diet plan and exercise videos. Childers claims that through a combination of deep breathing exercises, simple strength training techniques and an easy meal plan, you can lose inches. The focus of the system is to increase oxygen flow to the bloodstream to boost energy and burn off excess fat. According to the Body Flex website, the exercises can be done sitting down in just minutes a day.

Deep Breathing

The deep breathing techniques taught in the Body Flex system are the cornerstone of the exercise program. Childers claims that you normally breathe very shallow breaths limiting the amount of oxygen traveling to the body. She says that with her collection of deep breathing exercises, combined with isotonic and isometric stretching, you will begin to shed pounds within days of beginning the program. Childers, in essence, is using the deep breathing techniques to create an aerobic effect while strength training.

Exercise Plan

The exercise plan involves utilizing the gym bar that has a resistance band attached. The resistance band is made to roll over itself, thus increasing the amount of resistance of the band. The fat-burning exercises are meant to be done in a seated position but can be done standing. You simply place your feet on the bottom of the resistance band and keep your hands on the gym bar.

Fat-Burning Exercises

The fat-burning exercises used in the Body Flex system begin with the diaphragmatic breathing techniques. Childers explains that you must burn from the inside out. The deep breathing is designed to work your abdominals from the inside by forcing them to expand and contract through deep breathing. This gives you a flatter stomach. While you continue to breathe deeply, you use the body bar to perform exercises such as biceps curls, triceps tighteners, waist reducers and butt and leg toners.

Diet Plan

The Body Flex diet plan was included in a later version of the product to give users easy guidelines for weight loss. The meal plan consists of quick, easy recipes within the calorie range permitted by the Body Flex system. The meal plan is based on the principles of starting the day with breakfast, snacking throughout the day to avoid hunger and drinking plenty of water. The meal plan consists of a mix of fruits and vegetables, healthy grains and smoothies. The meals are well-rounded and can be prepared in 15 minutes or less.
