Several new home workouts on the market are guaranteed with a money-back offer to get you into amazing shape. Whatever workout you choose, be sure to contact your doctor to ensure that you are ready for intense exercise. P90X, Insanity and Metamorphosis are three popular home workout systems.

P90X

P90X is a program based on weight training and muscle confusion. This means that you will change your workout frequently so that your muscles don't get used to one particular movement pattern. It is led by celebrity personal trainer Tony Horton. You will need a full set of dumbbells, a pullup bar and resistance bands. This program is acceptable for both males and females. The workouts vary from 45 to 90 minutes.

Insanity

Insanity is a program based on interval training. This intense program uses no equipment. Instead you perform explosive movements for a certain period of time followed by brief recovery periods. This program is led by personal trainer and fitness expert Shawn T. It program can benefit both men and women. The workouts vary from 35 to 55 minutes.

Metamorphosis

Metamorphosis is a program suited best for women. It was developed by Tracy Anderson, who is well known in the industry for getting celebrities into amazing shape. The program consists of a 30-minute cardio dance workout and 30-minute muscular structure workout. You can do each session together for one 60-minute workout or one in the morning and one in the evening. You will need an exercise mat and a set of 3-lb. dumbbells.

Create Your Own Program

You also can develop your own home workout program. You will need an exercise mat, a piece of equipment for cardio exercise, such as a treadmill or elliptical (or the ability to walk or run outdoors), and a set of weights. You will have to do intense cardio exercise, such as running or walking uphill, most days of the week. You also will need to lift weights. Focus each day of the week on one area of the body. For example, legs on Monday, back on Tuesday, chest on Wednesday, and so on. Be sure to eat a healthy diet, as well, so your lean muscle tissue appears more prominent.
