When it comes to weight loss, there are good foods and bad foods to eat. Eating the right type of food can affect how quickly you lose weight, because some foods actually boost the process of weight loss due to some of their features.
Milk
Milk has always been linked with healthy nutritional benefits, and helping people burn fat is one of them. A study conducted at the University of Tennessee revealed that people who get as much as 1,200 mg of calcium every day were able to lose weight at twice the rate of those who took lower amounts of calcium. Milk is a great source of energy and can be used in boosting your metabolism while keeping your body's insulin levels low
Whole-Grain Cereal
Dietitians regularly encourage people to eat whole-grain cereal because of its high fiber content. Whole-grain cereal is made out of complex carbohydrates and fiber. Your body will therefore have to work harder to break them down. This means you will be able to remain full for longer periods of the day. Your metabolism will also stay primed for longer hours as your body works to break down the carbs.
Apples
An apple a day keeps the doctor away, as the saying goes. It also has fat-repelling features as well. There are several things that make apples such great choices. One of these is their high soluble fiber content. Because the fiber in apples takes longer to digest, people are able to stay satisfied for longer periods. Apples are also free of saturated fat or cholesterol, which means you'll be able to keep your cholesterol levels within safe limits. And since an average apple contains less than 90 calories, you are unlikely to spike your blood sugar from indulging in them as a daily snack
Peppers
There is a reason why people sometimes look like they've completed run a 100 m sprint after they eat a heavily spiced meal. It's because in many ways, their body is going through the exact same process. Vegetables such as Jalapeno and cayenne pepper have thermogenic properties. Jalapenos contain an organic compound known as capsaicin, which elevates the body's metabolism, causing it to work at 25 percent faster than it normally would. Capsaicin also boosts your heart rate, making you body work slightly harder. You'll therefore be able to burn more fat by simply eating these foods. A study done at Quebec's Laval University found that men who consumed coffee and snacks and meals containing red peppers burned almost 1,000 more calories a day than a control group.
Eggs
The jury is still out on exactly how many eggs a day is healthy, but there is no denying their effectiveness as fat burners. A single egg contains enough protein and vitamins to kick start your body's metabolism. The high concentration of Vitamin B12 increases the rate at which your body burns fat cells. Still, remember to keep the amount of eggs you eat within reason. An egg a day should work just fine.
