The bindings are one of the most technologically advanced components of a snowboard setup. The bindings are equipped with a series of retention straps as well as high back plates for added comfort and support. The high backs extend to the base of your calf muscle and help to keep your feet stabilized during hairpin turns and high-speed maneuvers. The House Boardshop recommends adjusting the high backs almost parallel to the heel edge of the snowboard. Perform these adjustments at home to avoid costly fees at your local snowboard shop.

Step 1

Place the underside of your snowboard onto a level worktable. Insert your screwdriver into the screws located on the back of the binding chassis. Turn the screwdriver counterclockwise to loosen the screws halfway.

Step 2

Rotate the high backs to the desired angle. Push the high backs forward or pull them backward to ensure they sit parallel to the heel edge of your snowboard. Hold the high backs in the adjusted position while tightening the binding screws.

Step 3

Utilize the knob located on the back of the high backs to adjust the forward lean. Rotate the adjustment knob clockwise to increase the amount of forward lean. Turn the knob counterclockwise to decrease the amount of forward lean.

Step 4

Lower your boots into the newly adjusted bindings and tighten the retention straps. Shift your body weight between the heel and toe edge of the board to test the position of the high backs. Loosen the chassis screws if necessary to make any further adjustments.
