Thinking you are pregnant can be nerve-racking until you know for sure. Home pregnancy tests, like Rite Aid's First Response Early Pregnancy Test, are simple to use and give you a positive or negative result in just minutes. If you are trying to get pregnant and testing often, the double pack pregnancy test can be convenient and economical. Always confirm your home pregnancy test results with your physician; though home pregnancy tests are generally reliable, there is room for error.

Step 1

Remove one of the pregnancy tests from the packaging; only use one pregnancy test at a time.

Step 2

Take the overcap that is on the home pregnancy test off. Hold the tip in your urine stream for five seconds; count to five slowly as you do this to ensure that enough urine has soaked the tip, which will increase your chance of a more accurate reading.

Step 3

Check that there is a pink color appearing on the top, which tells you that the test is working properly.

Step 4

Wait three minutes after urinating on the test strip before checking the results window; one pink line indicates that you are not pregnant and two pink lines mean that you are.

Step 5

Follow up with your physician as soon as possible to confirm the results of the home pregnancy test.
