The Two-Day Juice Celebrity Diet is also known as the Hollywood Celebrity Juice Diet. The product is actually specially formulated juice that you drink exclusively for two days. The juice is sold via several online retailers but websites of the diet's makers, Celebrity Products or Celebritydiet.com, are no longer available.

Promises

Marketers for the Celebrity Juice Diet promise that the product will help you lose 10 lbs. in two days by helping to cleanse, detoxify and rejuvenate the body. Advertising for the product notes that the juice fast is meant to be a jump start to people who are beginning their diet because the quick weight loss will serve as motivation. Marketers of the juice note that results vary but warn that you should speak to your doctor before starting the juice fast.

Ingredients

The Hollywood Celebrity Juice Diet comes in different fruit juice flavors, although the original formulation is a mix of orange, pineapple and white grape. The juice is made up of 50 percent fruit juice and 50 percent South African hoodia gordonii. Hoodia is a natural appetite suppressant that grows in the Kalahari Desert in South Africa. The herb was used by local bushmen who ate the hoodia to stave off hunger during long hunting trips. The juice is also infused with numerous vitamins, including Vitamin A, C, B-1, B-2, B-5 and B-6. The FDA has not reviewed the ingredients or claims made by the Hollywood Celebrity Juice Diet

Instructions

For the 48 hours that you are on the Hollywood Celebrity Juice Diet, only drink only 12 oz. of the specially-formulated juice on each day. Also drink lots of water to stay hydrated, but all other foods and drinks, including alcohol and coffee, are prohibited. Refrain from smoking while on the diet.

Cautions

There is no proof that juice fasts and detox diets actually rid the body of toxins, according to Mayo Clinic nutritionist Katherine Zeratsky. She states that your kidneys and liver do an effective job of removing toxins on their own. She also warns that prolonged detox diets can lead to dehydration, fatigue, dizziness and nausea. Losing more than 1 to 2 lbs. a week is also not recommended because with fast weight loss, you are mainly losing water weight and muscle as opposed to fat.
