With cancer fighting properties and potassium also working in its corner, these tasty sprouts are a healthy way to get essential vitamins and nutrients into your daily diet without even thinking about it. Roasting Brussels sprouts with the cut side down gives them a pleasing, smoky flavor, and cooks them quickly and effortlessly.

Wash the Brussels sprouts under cool water and peel away any wilted or discolored leaves.

Brush olive oil over the Brussels sprouts and season them with your favorite seasonings such as sea salt, cracked pepper and garlic powder.

Step 5

Place the pan into the oven and roast the Brussels sprouts for 15 minutes, or until caramelized and tender.

Step 6

Remove the pan from the oven and serve immediately.
