Tom Sims, one of the founding fathers of freestyle snowboarding, established the Sims Snow company in the late 1970s. As the company continued to evolve, it began to diversify its products with new and more innovative designs. Sims Snow now offers jackets, pants, boards, bindings and boots. The company's signature snowboard boots feature a specialized one-pull lacing system. To keep your laces tight during high-speed maneuvers, the boots are equipped with an easy-to-use locking mechanism.

Step 1

Lower the circular locking mechanisms of your Sims snowboard boots to a horizontal position. Pull the tongues of the boots forward to loosen the laces. Insert your feet into the Sims snowboard boots.

Step 2

Slide your heels backwards until they make contact with the boot cuffs. Pull up on the laces to increase the tension of your Sims snowboard boots. Hold the laces tight while lifting the locking mechanisms to a vertical position.

Step 3

Tuck the ends of the laces into the small packets found on the outer shell of the boots. Shift your body weight between your heels and toes to ensure the Sims boots feature a snug yet comfortable fit. Lower the locking mechanisms of the boots to make any further fit adjustments.
