"The Biggest Loser" is a popular television program that entered its 11th season on NBC-TV in 2011, portraying contestants losing extraordinary amounts of weight. It can be very motivating and has encouraged many people to try to lose weight at home. It has moved many to hold similar contests in their offices or communities. Organizing a "Biggest Loser" competition with friends and colleagues might seem like a challenge at first, but find some interested individuals and you'll soon be on your way.

Send an email or letter or post fliers to invite individuals to participate.
Step 2
Choose and announce a prize to help spur interest in your challenge.
Step 3
Pick a start date and notify those who want to participate.
Step 4
Have a kickoff event during which you record each participant's weight. Explain all the rules for your contest.
Step 5
Weigh everyone once a week. Decide how you want to pick a winning person for the week. You can base the winner on total weight lost or percentage lost.
Step 6
Weigh the participants for the final week. Reward the winning individual with the prize.
