Pimples -- also referred to as zits, blemishes or acne -- can strike anyone, but are most common in teenagers, pregnant women and women starting a new birth control pill or are on or nearing their menstrual cycles. Prescription medication, over-the-counter medications and home remedies can effectively treating pimples. One home remedy is is hydrogen peroxide, a common antiseptic. The hydrogen peroxide can kill bacteria on your skin, oxygenate your pores, dry out acne and prevent future breakouts.
Step 1
Wash your face with soap and warm water. Remove all makeup, dirt and oil from your skin before applying hydrogen peroxide.
Step 2
Soak a cotton ball in hydrogen peroxide.
Step 3
Apply the soaked cotton ball to the pimples on your face.
Step 4
Wait for the hydrogen peroxide to begin working. You will notice the hydrogen peroxide start to turn into white bubbles. This means it is killing germs and bacteria.
Step 5
Rinse the hydrogen peroxide off your skin after two minutes with soap and water.
Step 6
Use hydrogen peroxide two to three times per week for maximum results.
